Amanda SibellO
Secretary General
Amanda Sibello (she/her) is a second-year student from Miami, Florida, pursuing a double major in Psychology and Criminology with a minor in Political Science on the Pre-Law track. She has been involved in Model United Nations for six years and has been a member of the University of Miami Model United Nations team for nearly two years. As a commuter student, MUN has become one of her favorite communities on campus and a place where she has found both meaningful friendships and opportunities to grow. Throughout her time in MUN, she has staffed several conferences (MICSUN being her favorite…obviously), competed across the circuit, and currently serves as the USG of General Assemblies for 305MUN IV.
Outside of MUN, Amanda serves as a Senator at the University of Miami, Chair of the Commuter Council, and a member of the Homecoming Executive Board. Whether she is planning events, advocating for students, or working on a new project, she loves finding ways to bring people together and make campus feel a little more like home.
As Secretary-General of MICSUN XIV, Amanda is dedicated to making this conference the best iteration yet. Having competed at MICSUN as a high school student, this conference is especially meaningful to her and feels like a full-circle moment. She is excited to work closely with the Logistics team and the rest of the Secretariat to create a conference that runs smoothly while giving every delegate the opportunity to learn, grow, and make lasting memories. Most importantly, she hopes that everyone leaves MICSUN XIV with the same sense of community and love for the University of Miami that MICSUN helped inspire in her.
JACK GROBAN
DIRECTOR General
Jack Groban (he/him) is a third-year student from the Washington, DC area pursuing a double major in Biology and Political Science with minors in Chemistry and Spanish. This is his ninth year since he started Model UN, and his third year with Miami Model United Nations. You may recognize him from MICSUN XII, where he served as chair in one of the conference’s many crisis committees. He is also a senior staff member for Miami Model UN's collegiate conference, 305MUN IV. Jack is active on the collegiate travel circuit, competing in various committee forms at conferences across the country.
Outside of Model UN, you will often find Jack exploring the streets of Miami, looking for tickets to the next house music concert, hitting the gym, or watching Formula 1 highlights. Jack is also a competitor on the UM Mock Trial Team, a student senator, and a brother in the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
As Director-General of MICSUN XIV, Jack is dedicated to making every committee experience as competitive, creative, and enjoyable as possible. He has worked tirelessly with hundreds of advisors and staff members to make MICSUN XIV the best iteration yet. His months of work have culminated in the creation of every committee on the MICSUN slate, with delegates walking into some of the most complex and stimulating problems facing our world today. Jack is thrilled to share the beautiful University of Miami campus with hundreds of new acquaintances. Most importantly, he hopes that after the final gavel is struck, every student, staff member, and advisor will share his love for this amazing conference.MICSUN SECRETARIAT
Jack Kimmel
Under-secretary-general of GA/Spec committees
Jack Suarez Kimmel (he/him) is a sophomore from Fort Lauderdale double-majoring in Music with a concentration in electric guitar, and International Relations. He has been active in Model UN since his freshman year of high school, and this year will be his second year in Miami Model UN.
Outside of MUN, Jack can be found playing shows throughout the Miami area with his band Eckhart (@eckhart305), doing photography, teaching guitar lessons, going to as many local shows as possible, and painfully rooting for his beloved New York Mets (this year is our year!) Jack is also an avid reader, vinyl record collector, and thrift store connoisseur, much to the dismay of his bank account.

Under-secretary-general of CRISIS committees
Nathan Rubin (he/him) is a sophomore at the University of Miami, double-majoring in Ecosystem Science and Policy & Geography and Sustainable Development with a minor in International Studies. He has been in MUN for 5 years, and has ran over 10 committees across the Florida high school MUN circuit, including last MICSUN's "Talk Nauty To Me: UNCLOS". At MICSUN XIV, he will be serving as the Under-Secretary-General of Crisis Committees.
Outside of MUN, Nathan is an avid environmentalist. He is the student research coordinator for research on coastal restoration using recycled glass substrates in partnership with the Frost Science Museum. He also serves as the Waste Diversion chair for EcoAgency, UM's environmental part of student government. In his free time, Nathan loves to engage in everything nerdy including MTG, reading fantasy/sci-fi novels, gaming, and obsessing way too hard over every American sports league outside of hockey.

Conference Chief Of STAFF
Giancarlo Lopez (he/him) is a senior at the University of Miami, majoring in Political Science and History, and minoring in Psychology and Legal Studies in Business. This is his third year staffing for MICSUN and he has served as a chair and crisis director in the conference’s previous two iterations. He is looking forward to being MICSUN’s chief of staff as he approaches the end of his MUN journey. He’s participated in MUN since his junior year of high school and, since then, has gone on to compete in over 10 conferences and is currently serving as the head delegate of the Miami Model United Nations team! He’s chaired and directed a range of committees, including HRC GAs, Supreme Court Specs, and Bilingual Crisis Committees. He loves MUN at Miami, and the community and friendships he’s built have shaped his college experience!
Outside of MUN, he’s interned at Congressional Offices, and he works at a law firm as an intern, and has also competed in both debate and Mock Trial competitions alongside MUN competitions. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, watching movies and TV, writing poetry, and playing pickup Basketball. As a Miami and Hialeah native, here’s more than accustomed to the Miami life! After graduation, he hopes to go to law school and work as a Healthcare and Administrative Lawyer thereafter.

Under-secretary-general of PUBLIC RELATIONS
Aakash Singh (he/him) is a fourth-year at the University of Miami, double-majoring in Psychology and Philosophy. He has been in MUN for three years, and has previous experience running several committees, including MICSUN XII's “Through the Wire: The Rise of Roc-A-Fella Records, 1996” and MICSUN XIII's "The Devil's Dominion: Salem Witch Trials, 1692". At MICSUN XIV, he will be running "Phineas and Ferb: Turmoil in the Tri-State Area, 2037".
Outside of MUN, Aakash spends his time as an Office Assistant in UM’s Biomedical Engineering department, and as a Research Assistant for the BREATH Lab in UM's Psychology department. In his free time, Aakash enjoys listening to music, playing video games, and hanging out with his friends.

Under-secretary-general of LOGISTICS
Taleen El-Hassan (she/her) is a second-year student at the University of Miami from the Middle East, majoring in Quantitative Economics and minoring in Political Science. She’s been a member of Miami MUN for a year and has previous staffing experience including 305MUN III’s "Not Today, Satan: World of Wonder Board of Directors, 2030,” MICSUN XIII’s Ad-Hoc of the SG, MDMUN 2026, and 305MUN IV’s “Can’t Stop the Beat: The Dancing Plague of Strasbourg, 1518.”
Outside of MUN, Taleen’s involved in several organizations at UM, including the Arab Student Union, UThrift, and the National Organization for Women at UM! She also works part-time with UM’s Law School. In her free time, she enjoys reading, making food (and eating it), listening to music, rewatching Attack on Titan, going for walks, and exploring everything Miami has to offer.

Under-secretary-general of REGISTRATION
Trinity Vodovoz is a senior from Medford, NJ, studying Finance and Legal Studies with a minor in Law and Politics. Trinity has been a traveling member of the University of Miami’s Model UN team since her sophomore year and has served twice as the team’s Membership and Recruitment Chair. Throughout her time in Model UN, she has competed at conferences across the country, earning Best Delegate at SUNMUN IV, and has staffed multiple committees for the University of Miami’s MDMUN, MICSUN, 305MUN, and Canes Conferences. Most recently, she served as a Co-Chair for 305MUN’s “Money Makes the World Go ‘Round” and is chairing “For Every Child: United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund.”
Outside of MUN, Trinity is deeply involved on campus. She serves as Speaker of the Student Government Senate, a Resident Assistant, and the HP Live Lead for Hurricane Productions. She is also involved in Delta Sigma Pi and Omicron Delta Kappa, serves as a panelist on the University Disciplinary Hearing Panel, and works as an ambassador for the Business School. In her free time, Trinity enjoys spending long days at the beach, trying new restaurants, and finding her next adventure. She has gone skydiving twice and hopes to add bungee jumping to the list soon!
Trinity is excited to serve as the USG of Registration and Delegate Affairs for MICSUN XIV and looks forward to welcoming delegates from across South Florida to the University of Miami. She cannot wait for an exciting weekend of debate, diplomacy, and competition and is especially excited to help make MICSUN XIV an amazing experience for every delegation. Under-secretary-general of OUTREACH
Yazmin Alvarez (she/her) is a second-year student from Miami, Florida, majoring in Political Science on the Pre-Law track. She is also minoring in Law and Politics, English, and Dance. She has participated in collegiate MUN for two years, in addition to three years on her high school team. Yazmin has competed alongside chaired committees, including “Restaurant Brands International: Board of Directors, 2045” at MICSUN XIII. She also served as the USG of Specialized Committees for 305MUN IV, Miami MUN’s collegiate conference.
Outside of MUN, Yazmin participates in several campus organizations. She currently serves as Treasurer for UTalks and is also a brother of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity. Both on and off campus, you can find Yazmin dancing, whether it be teaching a class or taking one. In her free time, she also enjoys watching her favorite Marvel movies, listening to music, choreographing, and saltwater fishing.

Under-secretary-general of FINANCE
Tiolu Ladipo is a fourth-year at the University of Miami, double-majoring in Neuroscience and Quantitative Economics with a minor in Chemistry. She joined Model UN during her sophomore year and has since competed at five conferences and served in several committee leadership roles. She was Chair of the Ad Hoc Committee of the Secretary-General at 305MUN IV, Assistant Crisis Director for 305MUN III’s Ad Hoc Committee of the Secretary-General, Co-Chair of MICSUN XII’s UN Technology General Assembly, and Crisis Director for MICSUN XIII’s “El Corralito.”
Outside of MUN, Tiolu serves as Chair of the Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee (SAFAC), a Resident Assistant, and a Student Assistant in the Department of Student Activities and Organizations. In her free time, she enjoys watching anime, spending time with friends, and finding new things to do around Miami.
