DISEC

SINGLE DELEGATE COMMITTEE

ABOUT THE COMMITTEE

The Disarmament and International Security Committee stands at the forefront of the United Nations’ efforts to maintain global peace and security. In an era marked by rising geopolitical tensions, the proliferation of advanced weaponry, and evolving non-traditional threats, DISEC is tasked with addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing the international community. Delegates will confront issues ranging from nuclear non-proliferation and conventional arms control to emerging technologies such as autonomous weapons systems and cyber warfare. Through debate, negotiation, and the drafting of resolutions, this committee seeks to strengthen international frameworks that prevent conflict, reduce armaments, and promote collective security in an increasingly unstable world.
