The Show Must Go Wrong:

Broadway Disaster, 2026

ABOUT THE COMMITTEE

Opening night is less than a week away, and Broadway’s next big hit is already falling apart. Investors are threatening to pull their funding, costumes remain unfinished, and the cast’s fiercest rivalries are playing out backstage. With mounting debts, disastrous rehearsals, and rumors finding their way into the press, the production’s future grows more uncertain by the hour. In this crisis committee, delegates will step into the roles of the people responsible for getting the show to opening night. Saving the production will demand creativity, negotiation, and a willingness to improvise when everything goes off script. Whether this show becomes a triumph or Broadway’s most spectacular disaster is up to you.

CHAIR

YOHANNA MACHADO

Yohanna Machado (she/her) is a Biology major on the pre-law track at the University of Miami. Outside of Model UN, she enjoys bouldering, discovering new music, and reading. At MICSUN XVII, she is excited to serve as CD of “The Show Must Go Wrong, 2026” and bring the chaos of a Broadway production to the committee room. She looks forward to seeing delegates navigate backstage rivalries, tackle opening-night disasters, and find creative ways to keep their production afloat. Above all, she hopes delegates embrace the drama, take bold risks, and give the audience a show worth remembering!
